Recording a Plat

The Register of Deeds Office files all survey maps recorded in Columbus County. After proper approvals from the Columbus County Review Officer located in the Land Records Department and the Columbus County Planning Department if necessary, a mylar copy is filed in the Register of Deeds Office. The cost to record a plat is $21.00.  Deeds can be searched on the web site by clicking the link "Search Deeds" on the left.  All copies of survey plats recorded can be obtained for $2.00.
